ok so i got rid of all my breeder ringnecks and hubby
kept our baby ringneck we bought last yr
(she is SO TOTALLY in love with him and hates me lol)
now stormy his african grey i had origonally bought
for me and then decided i was something to eat NOT to
be held by...so i have been wanting a "bigger" bird I mean
we have our cockatoo Dundee but this bird is SO
unpredictable i really don't like holding him he has
bit hubby int he face twice pretty badly AND LOVES
to scream in your ear SO i found an ad for a
yellow naped amazon for 300 dollars...he's between
5 and 7 yrs old, the ad said super friendly BUT he's
not what i call friendly but he's not like stormy where
he trys to attack you even through his cage. He didn't
want anything to do with us at his home but i decided to
buy him anyways because i had read that it can take them
awhile to adjust to new people. He worried me when i first
brought him home i didn't see him eat much of anything for
like three days except couple of grapes and some junk food. bough different food for him (the kind they fed him) and i was
appalled that he dove right in and started eating it this
food is JUNK so i ordered some pellets for him and am
gonna mix in with this other bird food and gradually wean
him off it. ANYHOO...Jesse is a bit leary but he is warming
up to me we actually played ball for like an hr yesterday....
here is my yna Jesse |

I just love amazons.
Jesse is beautiful and I think in no time at all he'll be warming up to you.
It took Jimmy a few weeks but now I can do anything with him..he's so lovable. _________________ Quality bird toys and more

| Jesse is warming up to us especially me! I can now give him scritches and the other day to my surprise he stepped up! Stepping up comes on his own terms if he wants to he will if not leave him alone but he doesn't try to bite he simply backs away I am sure eventually he will step up when told to he's VERY smart!!! |
