We thought he had finally settled in as we all got to hold him one night but then the next day my hubby got bit in the cheek and a week later in the lip....well he's never tried biting me so i told hubby to leave him alone....sure enough he got out and was perched ontop of another birds cage and i went to pick him up and he lunged at me...lucky for me he tipped the cage over and fell to the floor so i didn't get bit lucky for him and the other bird neither was hurt but now we are at a stand still no one wants to get bit but we all love him too. |

Just a suggestion...
Have you tried toweling him to cuddle for a while?
I know Toos love to cuddle but they are also very unpredictable.
If you towel him a few minutes every day and talk nice a calm to him he will start to build some trust.
It took a while for Pete to accept me and he loves to cuddle in a blanket so that's how I got him to trust me.
But like I said it's just a suggestion. _________________ Quality bird toys and more

| i think your umbie is chewing his feathers this is a sign of boredom, poor diet or sickness. you might want to check on him more often or bring him to a avian vet to get a check up coz this might get worse like self mutilation. |

| according to the vet he's healthy....he isn't loosing anymore feathers he's simply not getting any new ones in..he came to me in this shape his diet here is fine BUT not where he was before coffee cigerette smoke junk food etc..I am thinking he's damaged his feathers and they simply won't grow back... |

| that's good to know atleast he's healthy but still to be on the safer side better watch him closely im just concern that it might end up in self mutilation which toos are known for. |
